Collecting Hockey Memorabilia in 2023

Hockey is filled with a lot of great moments. From Alexander Ovechkin finally winning his first Stanley Cup to the Vegas Golden Knights capturing their first one in just six years of existence.

Last year, about 2.6 million people watched the Stanley Cup Final. Some of you who were watching the Final may have considered getting some hockey memorabilia as a keepsake.

There's everything from autographed hockey jerseys to autographed hockey pucks, autographed hockey photos, and other autographed hockey memorabilia.

What should you know about the latest trends with some of these items? Here are some of the latest items available in each category.

Autographed Hockey Jerseys

Some of the most coveted items that hockey fans may want to get their hands on are autographed hockey jerseys. Let's take a look at some of the best ones that we have in our collection for you.

Vladimir Tarasenko

This Tarasenko jersey is good for anyone who wants to be reminded of his glory days on the St. Louis Blues. He was a star player for years on this team and after many seasons with tough losses, he and the Blues finally claimed their first Stanley Cup title in 2019.

He's someone that's likely going to retire in the near future. So, this could be a good way for some hockey fans to honor him as he gets ready to skate off into the sunset.

Anze Kopitar

Another notable jersey in this collection belongs to Anze Kopitar. He has played in the NHL for 17 years now. Remarkably, Kopitar has spent his entire career with the Los Angeles Kings.

Kopitar's longevity with one team is just one reason why his jersey is so popular. However, it doesn't hurt that he won two Stanley Cup titles with this team as well.

Those happened during the 2012 and 2014 playoff seasons. Both of those runs were remarkable in their own way.

In 2012, Kopitar and the Kings were the eighth seed in the playoffs. Being the last team in, not much was expected from them. Nevertheless, they not only went on to win the Stanley Cup but dominated every opponent in their way to do so.

Then, in 2014, the Kings cruised to another Stanley Cup title, and in the first round of the playoffs that season, they overcame a 3-0 series deficit to the San Jose Sharks.

Kopitar is now 35 years old so he likely does not have many years left in the league. However, he is a player that Kings fans will remember forever.

Victor Hedman

If you're looking for more NHL players that have spent their entire career with one team, look no further than Victor Hedman. He's a defenseman who has played for the Tampa Bay Lightning for 14 years.

Any true hockey fan knows just how dominant the Lightning have been in recent years. Before the 2023 playoffs, they made the Stanley Cup Final in the three prior seasons and won the Stanley Cup in their first two appearances during that stretch.

Unlike the guys above, Hedman is only 32 years old. So, expect him to stick around the league for a while.

Nikita Kucherov

If you want another player to represent the great Tampa Bay Lightning teams that were mentioned above, perhaps consider buying a Nikita Kucherov jersey. Some argue that he is on his way to making the Hockey Hall of Fame and he's only 29 years old.

Outside of his first season, Kucherov has never had a season where he scored fewer than 25 goals.

His best season was the 2018-19 season where he had career highs in two categories. Those categories were assists (87) and total points (128). He went on to win the Hart Memorial Trophy (Most Valuable Player) that season.

It's safe to say that we're just getting started seeing what Kucherov can do.

Autographed Hockey Photos

The next type of autographed hockey memorabilia we will talk about is autographed hockey photos. You can use these to frame in your living room, your bedroom, or your office. Or, you can even give them as a gift to another hockey fan.

Let's see some of the autographed hockey photos that we have available for you.

Tyson Barrie

Barrie is one of those players where we have photos available of him on different teams. That's because he has jumped around the NHL throughout his career.

Some pictures available consist of him on his last two landing spots. Those would be the Edmonton Oilers and the Nashville Predators.

Barrie is a defenseman that has played in the NHL for 12 years. For fans of Barrie or fans of one of the teams mentioned above, this could make a great souvenir for you.

Chandler Stephenson

If you're looking for hockey memorabilia of a player who was on the most recent Stanley Cup championship team, this is where to look. Stephenson has spent the last four years on the Vegas Golden Knights.

While he was part of the team that won it all this year, this was not his first time hoisting the coveted Stanley Cup.

He did this once before back in the 2018 Stanley Cup Final with the Washington Capitals. Ironically, he and the Capitals defeated the Golden Knights that Stephenson is with now to win that Stanley Cup.

Stephenson has played in the NHL for eight years. However, most hockey fans and experts would agree that his best years have been with the Golden Knights.

Claude Giroux

For those looking for a more notable NHL player for an autographed hockey photo, look no further than Claude Giroux. He has played 1,100 games over the course of 16 years.

Giroux has put up numbers in his career, currently sitting on 900 career points.

While most of his time was spent with the Philadelphia Flyers, he is currently playing with the Ottawa Senators. Most of the autographed photos we have available of Giroux are of him on the Senators.

Autographed Hockey Pucks

Last but not least, it's time to take a look at some autographed hockey pucks. While some may want one that was used during an actual game, others may be content just to have an autographed one that a player used during practice. Let's take a look at some of the best ones that we have available.

Scott Niedermayer

For those of you who are looking for an older hockey player's autograph, look no further than Scott Niedermayer. He's currently retired, as he last played in the NHL in the 2010 season.

Niedermayer is a defenseman who made his name with the New Jersey Devils. He was part of all three Stanley Cup teams that the Devils assembled in 1995, 2000, and 2003.

After spending his first 13 years in the NHL with the Devils, Niedermayer spent his last five years in the league with the Anaheim Ducks. He was able to make his mark with them too, winning the Stanley Cup once again in 2007.

Because of his notable career, he received several honors once it was over. His number 27 was retired by the Devils and the Ducks. After that, he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2013.

William Nylander

The last player we're going to take a look at here is Nylander. There are several autographed hockey pucks of his available in our collection.

Nylander has spent his entire career with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Over the course of eight years, he has put up a total of 430 points

Unfortunately for Nylander, he has not seen much playoff success. Believe it or not, since his tenure in the NHL began, he has only won one playoff series. That series win came this year when the Maple Leafs surprised many fans by defeating the defending Eastern Conference champions the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The good news for Nylander is that he is the youngest player mentioned in this article at just 26 years old. So, he still has time to make his mark in the NHL.
